The Van Meter freshman/sophomore boys basketball team returned to action after a long break with a victory over Woodward-Granger 57 – 23. Solid defense and rebounding were the the keys to the Bulldog victory with Hunter Hinde and Clark Fiala controlling the paint. Gannon Archer led the team in scoring with 17 points in only three quarters of play. Jack Pettit scored 13 points including three 3 pointers. Van Meter had a very balanced scoring attack with Caelen Ethier getting some big buckets off the bench. The Bulldogs next game is against Winterset on Saturday, Jan 12th at 1:00 pm.
