Although Natalie Barth put 17 points (6 rebounds, 5 assists) on the scoreboard, Van Meter fell to Dike-New Hartford 58-45 to end their season at 18-5 with all 5 losses coming to teams within the top 10. The Bulldogs added 19 points in the final quarter, but it wasn’t enough to overcome their opponent.
Barth led the charge for Van Meter’s offense, scoring 17 points, with five points during the fourth period. Clair Lauterbach (12 points) and Kelsey Roberts (8 points, 4 rebounds) each sunk multiple three-pointers. Also helping the effort for Van Meter was Emily Roberts (6 points, 8 rebounds).
I would like to everyone for their support of this team over the course of the year. The girls put in the work over the off season and it showed! Thank you to our 5 seniors for all the time and effort you committed to over the last 4 years: Emily Roberts, Kelsey Roberts, Lindsey Golwitzer, Julia Rhoades and Katie Wilson.
