Van Meter won 58-23 against Pleasantville on Tuesday with the help of Natalie Barth, who scored 14 points. At the end of a successful first half, the Bulldogs led 26-9 on the strength of a 26-7 run. Van Meter locked in their lead in the final quarter, putting up 17 points.
Barth set the pace for Van Meter’s offense, going 6-for-6 (100%) from the field and picking up back to back double-doubles with 10 rebounds. Clair Lauterbach (14 points) and Kelsey Roberts (8 points, 4 rebounds) each had multiple three-pointers. Also contributing for Van Meter were Emily Roberts (9 points, 7 rebounds), Lindsey Golwitzer (5 points, 7 rebounds), Emma Barr (3 points, 3 rebounds), Josie Cross (3 points), and Julia Rhoades (2 points).
The win pushed the Bulldogs record to 15-4 with 2 games remaining. They take on Clarke at home on Thursday (JV starts at 5pm, Varsity to follow) and then travel to Knoxville for the regular season finale on Friday (JV starts at 5pm, Varsity to follow).
