Van Meter concluded the regular season in thrilling fashion with 50-41 overtime win against Pleasantville on Senior Night. Pleasantville controlled and led all of the game until the 4th quarter buzzer when Chaney Coppinger made a game tying 3 as time expired to force overtime. The Bulldogs’ sluggish offense came alive with 21 points in the 4th quarter and then 12 points in overtime to cap off a 14-6 regular season record and 12-2 in conference play which puts them at a tie for 2nd place.
Van Meter will look took make a deep run in the post season earning a first round bye and will open up play next Tuesday night at 7pm against Colfax-Mingo.
