Clair Lauterbach scored 13 points to bring Van Meter to a 48-22 victory over Pleasantville on Friday to move to 8-2 on the season. The Bulldogs pulled ahead early on the strength of a 21-point second quarter, running up the lead to 37-14 by halftime.
Van Meter’s offense was led by Lauterbach, who scored 13 points, including six during the second period. Kelsey Roberts put two three-pointers on the board and scored eight points total also adding 5 rebounds. Natalie Barth made it into double digits, scoring 12 points for Van Meter (5-for-8) and had 6 rebounds. Also contributing for Van Meter were Emily Roberts (6 points, 6 assists), Emma Barr (3 points), Katie Wilson (2 points, 4 blocks), Julia Rhoades (2 points), and Lindsey Golwitzer (2 points).
