Emily Roberts scored 16 points to lead Van Meter to a 51-20 victory over Interstate 35 on Tuesday to improve to 9-2 (6-2 conference). At the end of the first half, the Bulldogs commanded 21-12 lead after a 19-4 run. Van Meter cemented their lead in the third quarter, scoring 17 points.
Great play from the field made Roberts stand out, as she made 50% (6-for-12) of shots attempted as well as 44% (4-for-9) of threes attempted and pulling in 8 rebounds. Clair Lauterbach notched two three-pointers and scored 14 points total and added 4 assists. Also helping the effort for Van Meter were Natalie Barth (8 points, 8 rebounds), Kelsey Roberts (5 points), Josie Durflinger (3 points), Lindsey Golwitzer (3 points, 8 rebounds), and Katie Wilson (2 points).
The Bulldogs will play again Friday night at home against Woodward-Granger starting at 6pm.
