Van Meter were victorious against Earlham 43-38 on Tuesday with the help of Clair Lauterbach, who scored 22 points.
Van Meter got behind early in the game, trailing 24-21 by the half, only to come back forcibly in the final two quarters. Lauterbach had a great game from the field, making 64% (7-for-11) of shots attempted as well as 71% (5-for-7) of threes attempted. He also shot well from the line, making 75% (3-for-4) of free throws attempted. Also helping the effort for Van Meter were Natalie Barth (8 points, 14 rebounds), Kelsey Roberts (3 points), and Katie Wilson (2 points). The Bulldogs advance to the Regional Semifinals on Friday night at Ballard High School against the winner of Ogden and Dike-New Hartford.
