The varsity girls basketball team picked up a big conference win against a good Earlham (8-2) team on Tuesday night, 39-34. The 8 point lead after the first quarter proved to be just enough to hold on for the win as Earlham was able to get the game close late in the 4th quarter, but some timely free throw shooting was just enough by Emily Roberts (17 points) and Lindsey Golwitzer (9 rebounds). The team had one of their best defensive efforts of the season and were able to avenge an early season 14-point loss to Earlham. The Bulldogs are in action again on Saturday at 4pm when they travel to play Winterset.
