The Van Meter JV girls were in action at home Monday night against Grandview Christian. The lady dogs got off to a good start jumping out to an early lead in the first quarter. That lead grew to eleven by the time the halftime buzzer sounded. The bulldogs never let up and continued to add to their lead until the final horn sounded with a score of forty-one to eleven. The Van Meter girls were balanced offensively with Danielle Jones and Kennedy Wiedman both scoring eight points a piece followed by Maddie Waldorf with seven points, and Emma Gilliland with five points. The Junior Varsity girls are right back in action tonight at I-35. The win pushes the JV overall record to 3-7 on the year with eight games to go in the season.
