The Junior Varsity girls were back in action last night at ACGC. The lady dogs came out a little slow to start the game until they found some rhythm in the second quarter. At the half the junior varsity girls were losing 18-10. In the 3rd quarter the JV girls were dominant defensively holding ACGC to zero total points in the quarter and narrowing the lead. In the fourth quarter the lady dogs exploded offensively to match their defensive intensity with 15 points in the 4th quarter. That left the final score of the game 29-25 in favor of the Van Meter girls. Leading the way offensively was freshman Eve Hyer with 9 points followed up by sophomore Raegen Wiedman with 5 points. Sophomore Emma Gilliland had 7 rebounds 2 assists and 2 steals and fellow sophomore Clare Kelly had 3 assists and 2 steals to add to a very good overall performance by the lady dogs.
