The Varsity Baseball Team beat Ogden 14-4 to improve to 6-0 in the conference and 9-1 overall. The offense tallied a double digit run total for the second night in a row as well as another 10-run victory. Five Bulldogs had multi-hit games, led by Spencer Lamb and Kolby Booge with three each, and Zach Pleggenkuhle, Mitch Pomeroy, and Anthony Potthoff with two each respectively. Van Meter manufactured runs in the first inning to take the early 2-0 lead. Taking advantage of two errors, two sacrifice bunts, two singles plated the two runs. The third inning proved decisive as 10 batters came to the plate for Van Meter, with seven reaching safely, and six runs scored.
Anthony Potthoff got the start on the mound and threw 4 1/3 innings giving up all four Ogden runs while striking out five and walking three. Potthoff improved his record to 4-0 on the season. Zach Pleggenkuhle threw 1 2/3 innings of relief giving up no hits while striking out two and walking one. Kolby Booge threw the seventh inning striking out two while not allowing an Ogden hitter to reach base.
