The Van Meter Boys JV team capped off their season with a buzzer beating 50-48 win at Roland Story on Friday night. Van Meter used some early pressure to build a 15-8 first quarter lead, but the Norseman fought back in the second to make it a close 25-23 game at halftime. The second half saw several lead changes and runs from both teams with Roland Story holding a late 48-47 lead. Van Meter’s Gus Rosener would have the final say by knocking down a game winning 3 pointer as time expired, giving the Bulldogs a 50-47 win. The JV squad finished the season at 17-5.
