The Van Meter Bulldogs were back in action on Thursday when they faced off against the Ogden Bulldogs. Van Meter came out and asserted their dominance, winning the game by a score of 42-6.

The offense was distributed very evenly in this game with all sorts of players getting in on the scoring action. Cason Peterson led the offensive side of the football, and spread the ball out to playmakers all over the field. The Bulldogs had a total of six touchdowns:

– 44 yard pass from Cason P to Charlie Matt PAT no good
– 48 yard run from Garrett Cole 2pt conversion by Tommy Kelly
– 12 yard run by Caleb Moore 2pt conversion caught by Ian Adams
– 37 yard touchdown pass from Cason P to Charlie M 2pt conversion caught by Cohen Peterson
– 64 yard touchdown pass from Cason P to Sage Yazzie 2pt conversion by Caleb M
– 60 yard touchdown run from Tommy Kelly 2pt conversion successful by Garrett Cole

The Bulldogs offense was helped out by great offensive line play who really set the tone, those Bulldogs included: Cael Reimers, Jameson Herman, Nathan Becker, Trevor Coyle, and Dane Beeler.

Defensively Van Meter remained stout all throughout the game, and even forced several fumbles. Tommy K also came up with a timely interception while Ogden was driving.

The Bulldogs will look to keep their success on the field going next Thursday when they face Adair Casey- Guthrie Center. The game will be at home and follow the 8th grade game.
