The 7th grade football team faced off with the Roadrunners from Interstate 35, Truro on thursday Oct. 17th. The Bulldogs came away victorious by a score of 28-6, and moved their record to 5-0.
The Bulldogs won the toss and deferred to the second half, the first possession for the roadrunners was a turnover on downs, and the Bulldogs marched down the field on offense to take an 8-0 lead. Caleb Moore ran the ball for the touchdown from 21 yards out, and Charlie Matt added the 2pt conversion.
In the second quarter the Bulldogs’ offense put together another impressive drive, and quarterback Cason Peterson was able to score on a QB sneak from .1 yard out. Cason also added the 2pt conversion, and put the Bulldogs up 16-0 going into the half.
In the third quarter the Bulldogs continued to run and throw the ball all over the Roadrunner defense, and Garrett Cole scored on a run from 5 yards out. Later in the second half Cason peterson connected with Charlie Matt on a 9 yard touchdown pass.
The Bulldogs won the game 28-6, and will take on Woodward-Granger on Monday to finish out their season.
