Game Recap

The JV girl’s basketball team suffered their first lost of the season Tuesday night against ADM 41-31. ADM’s early full court pressure led to a few turnovers and easy baskets which put the Bulldog’s down early. The Bulldog’s were led in scoring by Bre Parkins with 11 points while Clair Lauterbach added 10 points.

The JV girl’s are in action again December 5th at Earlham.

The 8th graders headed into Thanksgiving break with a Win against Nodaway Valley. The bulldogs got up early, had a rough stretch, and then led the entire 2nd half. Leading scorers for the bulldogs included:

Jacob B: 15pts
Zach P: 6pts
Alex J: 4pts
Connor McCoy: 3pts

The Bulldogs will be back in action Monday Nov. 28th where they will take on Madrid. That game will be played @ Madrid Elementary school.

The Bulldogs improved their record to 4-0 with an overtime win against Nodaway Valley. The Bulldogs were led by Lilly Thompson with 10 points, followed by Josie Cross with 8 points and Josie Durflinger with 6 points. The girls will be back in action next Monday night at home against Madrid.

Game Recap

The Bulldogs fought back from a 12-6 deficit at the half, to win the game 19-16 against Nodaway Valley. The Bulldogs were led by Shea Rhodes with 11 points, followed by Shae Bernhardt with 4 points. Chaney Coppinger and Zoie Vaught each contributed 2 points to the Bulldog offense as well. The girls improved their record to 4-0, and will be back in action Monday night against Madrid.

The bulldogs held tough for 3 quarters against the Lions of Des Moines Christian, but couldn’t sustain as the Lions pulled away in the 4th. The 8th graders are back in action Tuesday Nov. 22nd where they will travel to Nodaway Valley.

Game Recap

The Bulldogs got off to a fast start tonight scoring 16 points in the first quarter. Van Meter played tough defense which led to many scoring opportunities on the offensive end. Josie Cross led the way pouring in 14 first half points and finishing with 16 total. Emma Braun reached double digits with 12 points and 6 rebounds. Josie Durflinger also added 6 points. Another key contribution was Sydney Rainey’s 10 rebounds. The Bulldogs improve to 3-0 and are home Tuesday night vs. Nodaway Valley.

The Bulldogs improved their record to 3-0 with tonight’s win over Des Moines Christian. The girls did a great job of attacking the basket, which led them to outscore DMC 35-8. The Bulldogs were led by Chaney Coppinger with 10 points, followed by Shea Rhodes and Maya Herman who both contributed 8 points to the Bulldog offense. The girls are back in action Tuesday night against Nodoway Valley.

Game Recap

The JV girl’s basketball team picked up their first win of the season against Pella Christian on Saturday night 54-20. The Bulldog’s were able to capitalize on great transition offense and opened up a commanding lead after halftime when they held the Eagle’s scoreless for 11 straight minutes. Natalie Barth led the Bulldog’s with 19 points. Other scorers were: Emma Durflinger – 11pt, Regan Heckman – 6pt, Clair Lauterbaugh and Julia Rhodes – 5pt, and Bre Parkins and Kelsey Roberts – 4pt. The JV will play again on Tuesday, November 22nd against ADM starting at 6:00pm with the Varsity to follow.
