The Van Meter boys track team used great depth to start the track season off with a victory at the Ogden Relays. Van Meter out distanced Carroll 145 to 114 for first. Van Meter notched 4 firsts, 5 seconds and 6 thirds.
Individual winner for Van Meter were Ethan Fisher in the shot (46’9″) and Dustin Barth in the 3200 (10:48.12). Van Meter took frist in the 4-800 relay (9:03.71) and the 4-200 relay (1:38.66). The 4-800 team was Creighton Netton, Caden Peterson, Matt Kerber and Aydn Netten. Petterson teamed with Jack Pettit, Dalten Van Pelt and Gannon Archer in the 4-400.
Second place relay were the Spint Medley and the 4-400 relays. Individual second place finishers were Carter Durflinger in the long jump, Aydn Netton in the high jump and Creighton Netton in the 400 hurdles.
Van Meter will return to action on April 6th at Adel.
