The girls track team finished 2nd to Panorama in the 2019 WCAC meet. The ladies finished with 110 points.
Four relay wins highlighted the meet. The 4-200 team of Mackenzie Blomgren, Shea Rhodes, Nora Matt and Meagan Blomgren set a new school record in a time of 1:51.89 to finish first. Matt teamed with Clair Lautherbach, Maya Herman and Natalie Barth to set another school record in the 4-400 with a winning time of 4:13.18. A third school record was set in the shuttle hurdle relay in a time of 1:09.78. Barth joined Cari Walton, Jenna Schluter and Abby Archer to set the new mark. The sprint medley team were also conference champions in a time of 1:53.38. Mackenzie Blomgren, Rhodes, Matt and Herman teamed up to post the 6th fastest time in 2A so far this season.
Individually champions for the Bulldogs were Herman in the 400 (61.22) and Barth in the 400 hurdles (69.48). Barth was also 2nd in the 100 hurdles with a time of 16.83.
The girls run in the state qualifying meet May 9th at Panora. Meet will start at 4:00PM.
