The Van Meter girls finished second in the Dave Tapps invitational scoring 137 points. Earlham was the team champion with 156 point and Mount Ayr was third with 109.

Meagan Blomgren won 3 events for the Bulldogs winning the long jump (16’04.5″), 100 (13.03) and 200 (27.38). Lilly Thompson ran the 400 meter for the first time this season and finished first in 1:05.64. Natalie Barth also came home first in the 400 hurdles (1:13.28). Barth was also second in the 100 hurdles in 17.01.

The shuttle hurdle team of Cari Walton, Abrey Artzer, Abby Archer and Jenna Schlueter finished second in 1:13.71. Also finishing second was the sprint medley team of Livi Hausher, Thompson, Blomgren and Barth in 1:58.81.

The 4-200 team of Hausher, Haley Forret, Emma Braun and Kyla Sweeny finished third in a season best time of 1:59.56. The 4-100 relay was also third in 56.49. That team was Hausher, Josie Durflinger, Sweeny and Archer. Thompson, Emily Roberts, Braun and Barth finished 3rd in the 4-400 relay in 4:40.98.

The girls compete in the WCAC championsips next Tuesday at Ogden. Events start at 4:00.
