The Van Meter boys dominated the relay events and captured the team title at the WCV Invitational besting ACGC 148 to 144.

The 4-100 meter relay team of Owen Jones, Sam Thompson, Anthony Lowman and Carson Rhodes took first in 45.67. Noah Hale joined Jones, Thompson and Lowman to win the shuttle hurdle relay in a season best of 1:01.64. Rhodes and Lowman combined with Hunter Coyle and JJ Durflinger to win the 4-200 relay in a time of 1:35.18.

The 4-800 relay posted a season best time of 9:06.68 to finish first. That relay was made up of Blade Koons, Creighton Netten, Jackson Wilcox, and JJ Richards.

In the individual event Lowman captured the 200 title in 23.42. Thompson and Jones went 1st and 2nd in the 110 hurdles running 15.87 and 17.13 respectively.

In the field events the Bulldogs took first and second in the shot. Connor Guess threw 50’8.25″ to take the title and Derek Golwitzer threw 45’5″ for the runner up.

Van Meter returns to action on Monday at Gilbert.
