The Van Meter girls started the 2018 track season at Earlham on Tuesday night. No team scoring was kept.
Natalie Barth captured the Bulldogs lone first place finish winning the 400 hurdles in a time of 1:12.6. Barth also finished second in the 100 meter hurdles.
Meagan Blomgren was second in the long jump with a jump of 16′ and was second in the 200 meter dash in 27.77.
The Lady Bulldogs finished second in 3 relays. The sprint med. team of Livi Hausher, Josey Durflinger, Lilly Thompson and Barth finished in a time of 2:00.84. The shuttle hurdle relay ran 1:17.39 for a runner up finish. That team was made up of Cari Walton, Aubrey Artzer, Jenna Schlueter and Abby Archer. The final second place relay was the 4-400 relay team of Emma Braun, Blomgren, Emily Roberts and Barth in a time of 4:39.75.
The Bulldogs return to action Thursday at Clarke.
