Boys Middle School Track, Boys Varsity Track · Boys Run well at Panorama

The varsity track team ran well at the Panorama Relays finishing 5th. Second place to 5th was separated by less than 10 points. Van Meter finished with 79.5 points.

Carson Rhodes had two first place finishes for the Bulldogs, winning the 100 meter dash in a season best 11.64 and taking the long jump with a leap of 20’4″. Connor Guess also finished first in the shot with a throw of 53’1.5″. Connors throw breaks his own school record by almost 3 feet.

Runner up finishes included Jack Trudo in the 3200 (10:37.23) and the 4X100 relay team of Owen Jones, Sam Thompson, Carter Coppinger and Rhodes (46.67).

Jones finished third in the high jump at 5’8″ as did the 4X200 relay in a season best 1:37.50. Jones, Ian Abrahmson, Anthony Potthoff and Rhodes made up the 4X2. The shuttle hurdle team of Thmopson, Noah Hale, Jones and Tyler Kubiak also finished 3rd in 1:02.48.

The Bulldogs run in the state qualifying meet at Panorama on Thursday.
