The Van Meter boys placed second to Woodward Academy in the Van Meter invitational Tuesday night.
Sam Thompson won the 110 high hurdles (16.42) and joined Noah Hale, Owen Jones and Tyler Kubiak to win the shuttle hurdle relay (1:03.69). Carson Rhodes won the long jump (20’5″) and Connor Guess was first in the shot (46’7.5″).
Rhodes was second in the 200 meter dash (24.26) and teamed with Carter Coppinger, Thompson and Ian Abrahamson to finish second the the 4-100 relay (46.57).
Van Meter returns to action on Thursday traveling to West Central Valley.
