Guess Wins Shot at Earlham

Connor Guess won the shot put at the Earlham invitational with a throw of 46 feet 1 and 1/2 inches to help Van Meter finish 4th with 79 points.

Second place finishers for the Bulldogs were Carson Rhoades in the long jump (19’0″) and the shuttle hurdle (1:04.29) team of Sam Thompson, Noah Hale, Casey O’brien, and Tyler Kubiak.

Third place finishers for Van Meter included Anthony Potthoff in the high jump at 5’8″, Kaleb Booge in the disc (115’7″), the 4-200 relay (1:40.34) team of Cameron Smolik, Carter Coppinger, Ian Abrahamson, and Carson Rhoades as well as the 4-100 relay (47.53) of Coppinger, Thompson, Abrahamson and Rhoades.

The boys return to action on Thursday at Clarke.
